Kevin’s work on the ECF staff team has two main elements:

- Supporting the strategic development of advocacy organisations throughout Europe, working closely with the cycling industry and funders.

- Communications and fundraising for ECF and its partners including work on European funding applications and managing ECF’s industry supporters’ group, the Cycling Industry Club.

The European Cyclists’ Federation is pledged to ensure that bicycle use achieves its fullest potential so as to bring about sustainable mobility and public well-being. To achieve these aims, ECF seeks to change attitudes, policies and budget allocations at the European level. ECF stimulates and organises the exchange of information and expertise on bicycle related transport policies and strategies as well as the work of the cyclists’ movement.

Kevin joined ECF’s staff in 2012 after a fourteen year career as Chief Executive of CTC, the UK’s national cyclists’ organisation and four years as an ECF board member.

He brings the experience of growing CTC membership to its highest ever levels, securing millions of pounds of funding for cycling and launching initiatives such as a national review of cycle training which now sees 500,000 school children each year trained to ride bikes safely on the road. As a board member of government agency Cycling England Kevin advised government on cycling priorities, policies and spending programmes which amounted to over €200million during the life of the board.

Kevin is a lifelong cyclist who became CTC CEO after holding senior positions in blue chip food and packaging companies including Cadbury Schweppes, Coca Cola and Kraft Foods. When he isn’t talking about cycling he is usually out riding as an active tourist, commuter and mountain biker. He blogs about cycling in his personal capacity at
